The photos on my iPhone 15 are coming out blurry and dark, any advice?

I just recently got my new iPhone 15 Pro and was extremely disappointed with the quality of the camera. The photos are coming out blurry and dark, with a gray tone. I am not sure if this is something that will be fixed after a while but I did some research and I am not the only one with this issue.

Aside from your research (which to be fair…some of the complaints you may see online aren’t always legitimate…anyone can post negative things and not actually experience the issue or even have the product…just like anyone with a legit issue can post so sometimes using that as part of your research isn’t the best way to go and should never be your primary source when researching anything)… what have you actually done to troubleshoot? What settings have you adjusted? Followed any of the steps in the online manual to see if it helps? Actually contacted Apple Support or visited your local Apple Store (if one is in your area)? Unfortunately I can’t replicate what you describe on my 15 Pro Max or the 15 Pro in my household so it’s not something that is universal and therefore it’s safe to assume it’s not all iPhone 15 Pro’s. Could you have a defective phone? Yes. Could it just be that you need to take a little time and troubleshoot if you haven’t actually done beyond your research? Also yes. But it would be a little more helpful if you gave more details here besides just saying it’s horrible without detailing what actions you have taken to figure it out. Would make attempting to provide some assistance a lot easier.

@KaeBFly, I did everything you suggested. Even screen shared with tech support and they were baffled why the selfie photo came out so much darker. He had me try different settings as well.

I also went in store and tested the model on the floor, same results. The Apple employee suggested using a filter…that defeats the purpose in my opinion, and I don’t use filters when taking selfies. If I screenshot what I see vs what the phone takes, it’s completely different. I think it’s a “photo processing issue”…I keep hoping a software update will fix it.

Yes, sell the phone. Its junk. Apple knows about this, it’s not you, don’t listen to anyone telling you this. There’s a problem and Apple can’t fix it OR they would have. Will they fix it in the future? Again, if it was as simple as an update, they’d have already done it. I’m certain they know how to fix it but I believe they’d need to physically recall every camera to fix each one but that’s never going to happen. They’ll quietly change the “ part” or lens etc in the next camera and let the rest of us just eat their mistake.

my next phone will NOT be an Apple.

Lobsterghost, you said you were bowing out. Back so soon? Dumbing people down is your answer? All the people here have successfully used and enjoyed the pictures they took on OTHER iphones. If you have nothing constructive to say (kind would have been nice too), why don't find a community more fitting to the good luck you've had with your iphone. Cuz it ain't rocket science.

Again, maybe you need something simpler to use. That's what I'm saying.
