ios 17 Bluetooth call routing

IPhone 14 Plus with Ultra watch and powerbeats wireless pro


Hey siri call person.

Call made on phone or headset (randomly chosen now by ios 17)


First time during day works correct


After that, it'll make me open my phone to reroute the call to my headset, OR after about the 5th call it'll start making the calls on the headset except now the person can't hear me... 17.01 didn't fix, nor 17.02...

You’re not alone. I am having the same issue. I ask Siri to make a phone call (while wearing PBP) and the exact same issue you described above happens. I recently went to apple and they wiped my phone by doing a System Restore. This did NOT solve the issue. We unpaired my headphones, then paired a new set of PBP the rep pulled from a drawer. Same issue. My phone defaulted to Phone instead of PBP. We unpaired this new set and paired AirPods. They worked perfectly. It was determined there must be a software glitch with the new iOS 17 update. I have the iPhone 13 Mini with latest software update on phone & PBP. Very frustrating :(

I've had 5 pair of powerbeats wireless pro and 3 different iPhone models over the past 5 years or so. All have worked perfectly, including this exact phone and these exact headphones for many months UNTIL I updated to ios17. I have reset/restored my phone, watch, and headphones (which wasn't very troublesome) as well as tinkering with settings after 17.2 failed to repair... It's ios17, not hardware and I can't believe others aren't experiencing... IF it IS the headphones THEN it must be software in ios17 causing it
