iOS 17 update WiFi calling not working?

Since I updated my 14 pro to iOS 17 my WiFi calling which I depend on bc of poor coverage in my home does not work. Calls are constantly being dropped. I have updated carrier settings and restarted phone. I have Verizon. Anyone else notice this?

I am having two issues with the WiFi calling. These both started with the update to iOS 17. I waited until 17.1.1 was available to update from iOS 16 to try and avoid this type of update induced bug. First, when someone calls there is no connection and it goes straight to voicemail. I am usually able to initiate and complete calls although sometime I get a call Failed message.

The second issue is that sometimes I will call out and the receiver will answer. I will hear them but they are not able to hear me.

This is very annoying because I do not have a strong enough signal to make calls from my house although if I go outside to the right spot I can send and receive texts.

These issues are present with both my iPhone 12 and my wife's new iPhone 15. Verizon is our carrier and we have Xfinity cable internet service.

I hope there is a quick resolution to these issues.

I have provided that type of information to Apple on a variety of occasions and it has always led nowhere. I have had scheduled follow up appointments with different techs and about half of them seem to have a family emergency and were unable to keep the appointment or even notify me. This seems to be rampant throughout the Apple culture. There's no requirement to notify your supervisor in the event of an emergency that prevents you from keeping an appointment.

In any even, I would be very interesting if Apple was able to resolve this vexing issue.

I haved a 15 pro, currently AT&T and have xfinity wifi. I've been having this issue since the 17 update. I have changed providers. Started with Verizon, then AT&T then T-mobile (i still have this on an on XS with a completely different phone number). I've had 3 different Iphones and two different phone numbers and same issues. Nothing will fix this. It has to be an iOS issue. Apple keeps telling me to reset to factory settings without signing into icloud, and "see if the issue still persists". They don't seem to understand i dont always know if the issue is happening as i dont get missed call notifications and not everyone will text or leave a message to let me know. This is infuruating.

Hello Reenie, One more thing to check on your Wi-Fi calling that may help. In Settings > Cellular > Scroll down to Wi-Fi Assist and slide ON. This Setting will ONLY be AVAILABLE if your Cellular Data is Turned on along with your Wi-Fi Calling. If your Cellular Data is Turned Off this option will be DIMMED OUT. Also you can also do a Restart (Power Down wait a minute and Power UP) on your Home Wi-Fi Router to see if that will clear up any Wi-Fi issue.
