Wi-Fi Calling has stopped working on iPhone running iOS 18

Any of our newer apple devices on IOS 18.X the WIFI calling has stopped working. Now before someone from apple tells me its the carrier, IT IS NOT THE CARRIER. We have Android phones multiple brands that do not have this issue. We also have some older iPhone 7s running on IOS 15.X all of which are working fine. Now I have seen multiple questions being asked on these forums and still no answer to the problem.

Has anyone been able to fix this issue as my next advice on product purchasing will be to just not buy apple devices?

Sorry, IT IS THE CARRIER. Wi-Fi Calling is totally under the control of your carrier, and must be enabled by the carrier for each phone number and device independently. If it works for other manufacturers devices that means that the CARRIER configured their account correctly. If it doesn’t work for yours that means that the CARRIER did NOT configure your account correctly for Wi-Fi calling.

BTW, VPN installed on any phone can break Wi-Fi calling.

WRONG! A quick google search and there are plenty of people having the same issue. And you have even posted on their forums so to say nobody is having the same issue is wrong as it has been happening for months. Even the apple dev guy made the statement about this "BUG" which you answered. I am not the only person having this issue and I am asking on here if anyone has a fix for it. And if you read the dev guy he reported "it is not every device on 18.X that is affected".

I have reached out to the carrier I will let you know what they say.

Yes it is a carrier feature which is enabled and is working for EVERYTHING but the newer iphones on 18.X. So why is it not working on the 18.X.

It is working for Motorola, Samsung, Older iPhones and LG. **** even Huawei works.

We don't use VPNs on our phones.

And KiltedTim you replied exactly the same to the Apple dev guy who said it wasn't working. This is not an answer to why 18.X devices are affected.

What did your carrier say when you asked them?

Sorry, but you are assuming that because you are having a problem, everyone has the same problem.

You're wrong.

WiFi calling works fine on 18.x. It's worked fine on every variation of 18.x.

Contact your carrier.

WRONG. If it was working for EVERYTHING but the newer iPhones on 18.x then you would see thousands of posts about it. It is working on my iPhone, and my wife’s iPhone, and hundreds of millions of other iPhones, because if it wasn’t everyone would complain about it and there would be news stories about it on ever tech website.

It is still a problem with the provisioning on YOUR iPhone by your carrier.

Yes, please quantify “plenty”. There are 2 billion iPhones. So “Plenty” should be hundreds of thousands or even more. Have you seen that many reports? Those in the “plenty” category almost certainly have a carrier problem. As do you.

And “plenty” of users do not have a problem, but they generally don’t bother to report that they don’t have a problem.
