I have a lot of messages saved, especially older messages. I transferred all my data from my old phone to this new one and not all of my messages are backed up. My messages say syncing to iCloud, would this mean they will eventually sync and be there? Or have I lost them?

You have not lost them. Your iPhone appears to be still syncing over iCloud as far as Messages is concerned. Check back in a few hours, or the next day, and you will see messages will sync.
If, for any reason, the above does not work, then you will still have the messages on your old iPhone and iCloud (if you use iCloud for photos).

I just received my IPhone 15. I had an iPhone 11 and my messages haven’t backed up completely, is this normal and will they backup eventually?
