The current update of IOS 17.0.2 is full of bugs

device- IPAD 9th generation

I have updated it now while studying when I am opening a pdf it always opens from the 1st page, earlier it used open the same page where I used to leave.

Take a screenshot then copy and delete the screenshot and then paste that in the pdf file.. now it is not getting pasted..earlier it used to get copied.

now after the update when I am writing anything in the pdf file …I observe some lag in writing and then it displays

when I am highlighting anything in first stroke of highlighting the texts are not getting highlighted…save or close the file and open it again. Then you may find the highlighted text.

when I am trying to erase something text are not getting erased.i have close the file then open it, things will get erased on pdf.

Now the pencil option is not getting auto minimised on selection of any pencil type and this is irritating.

this update is full of bugs.

if someone is facing then issues then please reply that how I can raise these bugs with apple support

Ever since my phone up graded to 17 (while set to not up grade automatically) everything went wrong with shared apps on my Mac Book Pro. The iPhone and the Mac were working in sync now I've had to reset the weirdest things, mail, messages, etc. and for anyone saying, "oh, check your settings there may be some that got switch on or off". NO that's what apple should be doing before these endless and often pointless up grades. Bloat Bloat. Security by all means! But maybe it's time for Apples to step away and fix stuff that's been broken for a long time, Maps come to mind, and work on making smooth transitions, rather than letting the customer flounder.

I installed 17.1 this week, infuriated by how buggy this OS has been, as a dedicated iPad user since its inception. Worst release ever! Some improvement with this latest, but still many glitches. One especially annoying is the intermittency of the full page screencap feature, which I loved, and was lost with this OS. Now it’s back. I use it to capture the WJS daily market synopsis and my day-trading broker summaries to paste into a Freeform board to have all the data for the week in one place. (Finally found a use for this app! Still needs to evolve some features, and be easily exported.) But without rhyme or reason, the full screen capture buttons disappear!

I found useful, since Apple disabled the quick restart via holding down buttons, is to employ the Shortcuts macro to shut down. Put the icon on your homescreen, for much quicker action than drilling down in Settings. Punch it, grab a coffee or RR break, then get back to work with thing working smoothly again for awhile.

With 17, I have to do this daily, often more than once.

Also a trick I read about recently, when apps start getting slow and wonky, launching the Camera app will clean up RAM to make others behave better. Just open it and close it, and go back to what you were doing. Try it first, then quick shortcut reboot if it does not help.

Now if they would only make Numbers into a 21st C app!

[Edit]

Has anyone else noticed that AutroCorrect is creating more errors that it corrects? See. That! Oy.

iOS 17 is more buggy then I expected,I updated and at first everything was great until it wasn’t,recently I’ve noticed that the iPad slows down by a significant amount when on a FaceTime call and tends to feel like a crappy old Samsung with the performance it shows,The game:geometry dash will not open but instead crash each time and I have not been able to play since iOS 16,also to make it even better when I hang up a FaceTime call it will glitch onto the Home Screen and then when I reopen the app to call someone it starts playing the answer sound about twice before calling the person I would like to call, the frame rate suddenly drops by a drastic amount and then speeds up again, now it seems like the iPad struggles to keep up with basic tasks and it’s not like it’s an old iPad it is a more recent: iPad 9th generation 256gb.🙄🙄🙄😭😭😭

The new 17.1.1 update on iPadOS is making me want to get an android. THIS IS THE MOST BUGGY SOFTWARE UPDATE. This software update is broken and needs to be fixed because me (and probably many other people)have lost access to some of my apps, I have no more audio(except for my music), my Siri is broken and I have this screen time thing and when I send a request for more time it sends a message to my mom’s gmail and fails the message so she has to put in the time code but when I’m away from home I can’t have extra time because she’s not around. Fix this dumb buggy update.

I am having the same issues, and am incredibly annoyed! After writing for a period of time on a pdf with the apple pencil, everything automatically erases. When I try to save a pdf document that I have written on, it does not save and again erases everything. I use it to take important notes, and have had to consider other options now because this is impacting my work. Horrible!

I have used different iPad pros, 12.9 for the last decade,(just about), and absolutely love them. But ios 17.2 is so horrid and buggy, it has changed my use/benefit of it. I’m actually thinking to go back to laptop or some other device. It has changed many functions for the worse, it has tampered with connectivity and connectivity speeds, it’s just not worth using it anymore the way I used to,
