Incoming Facetime call automatically disconnects an active phone call that I am on?

When a Facetime call comes while I am on a call.  The current call immediately disconnects.  The new Facetime call then gives the options to decline or answer (no call waiting option since the other call disconnected immediately) Phone has all software updates.

This was happening with my iPhone 12 so I upgraded to an iPhone 14 Pro max, and it is still happening.

Hey there roxmille,

To answer an incoming FaceTime call, you would need to follow these steps:

Use FaceTime with your iPhone or iPad

"When another call comes in—either a phone call or another FaceTime audio call—you can choose one of these options:

  • End & Accept: End the current call and accept the incoming call.
  • Hold & Accept: Accept the incoming call and put the current call on hold.
  • Decline: Decline the incoming call."

If you are not finding these options to be available for you, you may need to reach out to your wireless carrier for help ensuring Call Waiting is provisioned and set up correctly on your device.

Have a good one!
