MacBookPro (M1) can't connect to internet while it's connected to wifi

Internet works on guest mode but not on main user account

Weird thing, internet works fine both on safe mode and on the guest user. Here's what I've done:

° Changed Location

° Renewed DHCP Lease

° Added googl'e DNS serves

°Reinstalled a new copy of OSX (which i was able to download on recovery mode)

Reboot wifi.

Internet works fine on other devices and I cant access the Internet through any app on my mac or by using my phones Hotspot

You did quite a bit of valuable troubleshooting. It would appear the problem is isolated to your User Account, and determining exactly what that might be can be challenging.

Consider using EtreCheck. How to use the Add Text Feature When Posting Large Amounts of Text, i.e. an Etrecheck Report - Apple Community contains a download link and instructions for posting its report in a reply to this Discussion.

Here's the obvious challenge with doing that, since your User Account cannot reach the Internet. You will need to create a new, temporary User Account in order to connect to the Internet so that you can download that app: Add a user or group on Mac - Apple Support. Do that, download the app, and then drag the app icon to that Mac's Shared folder: Share files with others who use your Mac - Apple Support.

Log out of that temporary User Account and log into your usual one. Run Etrecheck. It can be run directly from Shared, or you can drag it to your Desktop for convenience; doesn't matter. When EtreCheck finishes it will create a report that you will need to copy (use its "share" icon > Copy) and paste into your favorite "text only" text editor app. Save that report in Shared.

Log into your temporary User Account, open the text file containing the report, Copy All, then attach it in a reply to this Discussion following Old Toad's instructions linked above.

I realize this will be tedious, and the report's readability won't be ideal since it will lose some formatting, but such is the nature of your particular concern.

You can get rid of the temporary User Account if you so choose: Delete a user or group on Mac - Apple Support. Same goes for the EtreCheck app; you can keep it or dispose of it as you please.

Please write back if you run into trouble.

Troubleshooting User WiFi:

A. Disable a VPN:

Are you using a VPN (Virtual Private Network)? If so, disconnect from it.

B. Single Out WiFi:

What happens when you connect using Ethernet? any difference? For your model, you'd need this adapter: The Belkin USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple

If you go into Terminal and ping www.apple.com, what do you see? If you see a series of lines indicating that your Mac has received bytes back from some server, you have a connection to the Internet ... so perhaps there is some issue with your browser (or its settings).

If you can't ping any site on the Internet, that would confirm the lack of Internet connectivity.

To get out of ping (once started), type Control-C.
