ups stole my iphone

I received the package for my new iPhone 15 pro max but the box was empty. The package had clearly been opened with removal of the packing tape and resealed with clear packing tape. Called apple immediately Apple says they’re completing an investigation. I was told it would take 48 hours to complete. 4 business days later and still no resolution. Anyone had this experience? Any one have anyone at Apple actually do anything than get a run around with no real answers or solution? If you did get a replacement, what was the timeline?

It happened to me as well. I ordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max for my wife on 11/12/2023. The shipment is delivered on 11/16/2023. It felt very light when handled. I shake it, no sound. I opened it, empty box. It was either stolen in Apple distribution center, or UPS handle along the way. I contacted Apple right away. They opened an investigation case and was told I have to wait 24 to 48 hours before I will be contacted for updates. I filed a claim on UPS reporting this case. Base on what I read here and elsewhere regarding to similar cases, I think Apple and delivery company should put surveillance their shipping process to ensure the shipment go to consumer untethered and protect consumers' purchase.

Similar incident happened to me yesterday. The item was not supposed to arrive until March 15. March 15 was the delivery date UPS provided us. On march 11, when I looked up the tracking number, it said the parcel was delivered. but the parcel was not there at all. Delivery notification was never issued and signature was never asked for (though we requested for one). UPS said they don't handle claims for apple products and we have to file a claim with apple.

Is May 28th 2024 was supposed to get my phone a week ago and same thing happened to me.. Light weight box with no phone inside

I'm sure was UPS because the driver behavior and the fact that he reported it as damaged not stolen... having issues get it because the driver lied on his report that was damaged not stolen. UPS refusing an investigation until verizon request one.

Waiting ....

If it happened to anyone make sure they report it STOLEN so the thief can't activate the device with any carrier. Reporting it damaged will let them activate the device later on I'm told.
