I have thanks I also spoke with Apple who advised a forced reset
Press the volume up button once
Press the volume down button once
Press the on/off button till the Apple logo appears
I got someone to call me, and I could hear them first time.
I did ask apple if they are aware of any bugs - they did not confirm or deny!
I had this same issue. Muting and unmuting while on a call a couple times solved it. I have the latest AirPods Pro, and used them earlier for a call. So it's possible I muted them, but the phone did not indicate it was muted. Went into AirPods settings and switched "mute" from Single Press to double Press to potentially keep it from happening again.
I had the same problem. Tapping the mute button twice solved the problem (Once to mute and once again to unmute). I was able to reproduce the problem by putting my AirPods in (when the problem first occurred, my AirPods were nowhere nearby). I heard the notification that I had muted my phone (despite not being on a phone call). I then called myself with my office phone and verified that I was muted. The phone did not indicate that the mute was enabled. This time I solved it using the AirPods to mute and unmute myself (two squeezes on the AirPods with time separating the squeezes).
Yes me too, last couple of days nobody can hear me. Very frustrating. Applies solely to ‘regular old’ phone, WhatsApp voice calling etc. is fine.
The solution proposed here worked for me too, but it was not the rebooting, but the final enable/disable of mute on the first phone call that did the trick. before doing that the other person could still not hear me.
Settings->General->Transfer or Reset iPhone->Reset->Reset All Settings
After trying everything in this thread and what Apple Support asked me to do, my carrier asked me to try a reset. Performing a 'Reset All Settings' fixed the issue.
I turned my phone off and back on but held the power button and let the Apple logo cycle 3 times before releasing on the 4th time it appeared. Then made a call and cycled the mute button on then off just to double down. Works now. Thinking there is a code issue with the mute being active while calling but not showing that it’s on.
After updating my iPhone 12 Pro to the new OS I started having this same issue. I should note I use Airpod Pros regularly. I bought an iPhone 15 Pro and I'm having the same issue. I "forgot" my Airpods and still callers couldn't hear me. Restarted my phone and all works fine now. I'm worried it'll keep happening. If it does I'll try tapping the mute button. Hopefully, there will be a fix soon. So aggravating!
The solutions suggested here all worked temporarily for me, then the issue returned. People can't hear me and I can't hear them the first time one of us calls. On the second time one of us calls, we have audio. Interestingly, I also have this issue when answering a call on my Apple Watch.
I'm working on this issue with T-Mobile and mine seems to be an issue with the Wifi Calling. We verified that "Silence Unknown Callers" was set to off, and turned "Wifi Calling Off." That seems to have solved it (for now). I can't believe I bought the iphone 15 pro and it can't use it's own features. My spouse has an iphone 13 pro. Wifi calling is on for him and he never has this issue
Just got back from the AT&T store
quick fix….make a call and hit the mute un mute like five times and you should Be back in business.
This happens to me as well. I find I hit the mute button (turns it on), and then immediately hit mute again, and it turns it off and people can hear me again.
Did you read my earlier posts? AirPods are probably the problem with the new mute feature added. Just call someone and cycle the mute button manual even if it doesn’t show that it’s on. Press it on and then back off and you should be good to go.
This happened to my wife on her iPhone 15 Pro Max. compounded with any incoming call going immediately to voice mail. A conversation with AT&T suggested the SETTINGS>GENERAL>TRANSFER OR RESET iPHONE >RESET> RESET NETWORK SETTINGS approach. That seemed to work. This Time!
So I had the same problem with my iPhone 15 pro and immediately suspected an intellectual property conflict so I uninstalled all google products and that did the trick. I don’t know if this was an intentional coding move by Apple or if it’s a coding thing on Google’s side but it fixed it. I’m ok with it because I’m not a fan of Alphabet Inc.
This didn’t work but this happened to me before yall and what works for me is resetting all network settings .
