Sunset / sunrise Apple Watch not working.

The Sunset / sunrise is now showing on my Apple Watch face. If I click on the icon it does give the information per city I have in my World Clock on my Iphone.

I've checked the Security Location Services and this is set on 'while using app' as per earlier solutions offered.

I've also delinked the watch from my iphone and installed it again.

Also tried to switch to a different app and switch back to sunset / sunrise. No luck so far.

It seems to have been caused by a recent update. Any suggestions?

I have been struggling with this problem as well. I found the solution in another thread. The sunrise/sunset on the AppleWatch comes from the “clock” app and not the “weather” app. If you go to settings>location services>clock> SELECT “while using app” and it should do the trick.

Been having this same issue since at least WatchOS 10.4. Tried all of the suggestions, and nothing worked for me. I have two watches, and it wasn’t working on either.

Just poked around, and here is what seems to have worked for me so far…

Open Watch app on your iPhone.

Swipe down to and tap “Clock”

Scroll all the way down to “Siri Face Data Sources”

Tap this

Scroll to “Sunrise/Sunset”

Set the slider to on, if it is not already,

or

set it to off, back out of this screen, and set it to on again.

Mine was already set to “On” (green), so I set it off, backed out, went back in the same screen, set it on.

I immediately got the sunset time on my Infograph face.

Your mileage may vary…

I see this is an old response but wanted to say THX because I was going to post the same thing. Found the setting and toggled things off / back on...but the issue persists. Also tried other suggestions below like toggling other things off, allowing precise location, rebooted watch (also yes, on current version [Ultra 2 10.4 21T216]). This function is critical for sunset cocktail meetups on the patio! 😂 Does anyone have any current (Apr 2024) fixes?

This worked for me... Series 9, watchOS 10.4.

On iPhone, go to Settings --> Privacy & Security --> Location Services --> make sure Location Services are turned on --> Clock --> make sure both While Using the App and Precice Location are selected.

After getting a new watch, Precise Location was off by default. Turning it on fixed the problem.
