My macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6 won’t install certain apps. It says I need 10.14 or later. How do I get my Mac updated?

Back up your data, check the application compatibility table, click here, and if your MacBook is a 2012 or newer model, then on the download link for a higher OS.

Catalina and above won't run 32-bit software; if you choose one of them, use Go64 as well.
