iPhone iOS 17 phone call issues

I found a fix. Through the setting menu, reset the network settings. It’s the menu you would go through to factory reset but you have several options. I had to re-enable data roaming after but seems to have worked.

I’ve had this issue for a few weeks and just solved it.

phone didn’t ring if the number is not in my contact list.

go to settings - screen time - communications limits - during screen time - choose everyone.

during downtime - choose everyone.

I have the same issue (iPhone 12) with calls since update 17, after all trying, I went to Apple Store, a tech verified and no hardware issues, so they whipped my phone reset everything and reinstalled my apps from ICloud after, I lost a tremendous amount of time resetting all my apps and passwords and mails and work apps …and all trouble.

Worked fine for a few days, UNTIL today’s update…. It did the exact same, I can’t believe I will lose all that time again

my wife and I ran into the same problem, this is quite frequent but not consistently. My experience is that when we are using Wi-Fi calling at home, the calls drop more few minutes later when the call is initiated on my phone or receiving a call. I used my ear buds or my iPad to call or pickup, there is no problems so far. This is definitely a software problem, I have the same carrier and the same phone, iPhone 12 Pro, before and after the update to iOs17.

No. Not a hardware issue. The update caused issues for many.

Having trouble calling people's iPhone from my iPhone. Sometimes the call rings then goes to dead silence then says called failed. Or call the person, I hear their voice message prompt, I say my message but do not get the prompts to send the message, it again goes dead silence... This is happening more and more now. Please help!

He literally starts his comment by saying he had an apple technician reset it at the Apple Store. I am having the same issue. It’s almost nine months later and this is still an issue as I am experiencing the same thing with my 5 month old iPhone 15 Plus.

I can’t receive incoming calls so what good is my iPhone 14 I haven’t paid off yet. I’m just stuck here not being able to get calls ever since I downloaded 17.5.1 terrible when you call Apple they say they know nothing about it. Liars liars liars.

Hi too have call issues since ios17 and the last 3 updates have not helped, I have tried different locations incase it was a mast issue etc

I am getting issue not getting calls as to them it shows busy and cut without any ringing or notifications just seen missed call for them I am on ios 17.1.1 with eSIM what’s the solution
