Why is the find my iphone button gone from my apple watch after the new IOS was installed.
Have to go find my device app, look for my iphone icon, play sound (which takes over a minute to play the sound).
Please bring back the slide up from my apple watch and install the button back.
When I do this, it says “your favorite apps appear here”. Then I can click on All Apps and no find my iPhone.
You are holding the button. Press and release it quickly.
I am very upset I did the update on my watch. The find my phone swipe button was the best feature ever. Can I take the update away?
I hate the Apple Watch update. I used the find my iPhone icon all the time! The updated version is not user friendly!

Do you understand how to use it now? You get to the Control Center by pressing the flat, oval button next to the Digital Crown.
I realize that.
However, I wonder if they don't occasionally peruse these discussions to see what is being stated, complained about, etc. If I worked in tech (again), I would be curious to know what my clients/customers were saying.
But anyway - yes, you are correct. This is NOT the place to convey requests or complaints or otherwise contact Apple Technical Support.

This forum, actually these forums as there are now a number of different versions in languages, is a never-stopping firehose of posts. Even with current AI technology, trying to parse it for feedback would be an enormous task. So, unless there is a specific problem that a group is looking into and they need examples, no, this is not where Apple comes to find out what their customers are saying.

Yeah... whatever.
The new "Finding my Phone" method is as simple as the old one, for me. I'm good with it. It's as quick as the swipe-up method.
I appreciate my fellow Apple Watch wearers, especially Bob Harris, who provide valuable--and concise--information that gets to the point, impersonally. Without his input, I would not have known about it, unless I took the time to wade through the "Get to Know" link and other Tips, which I suppose I should do--we should all do, but this time of year especially, I have neither the time nor the interest.
I'm done with this conversation and have unsubscribed.
It was really stupid that Apple hid such an nice feature that enables one to find their iphone with their iwatch. It can still be done, but it is cumbersome and works only part of the time. Simply push the recessed button on the side of the watch. It does not come up on first couple of trys, but if you keep trying and keep pushing the button, eventually you will see the familiar iphone button with the sound wave symbols on the side. Very poor move Apple.

It always comes up the first time for me. Perhaps there is something wrong with your watch.
Thanks Bob,
Maybe you could review the function of some of the nonintuitive icons in the control center???? I'm going to google these but do most folks already know their function???? walkie-talkie, the crescent moon, connect a device............... Also , maybe you could clarify how texts and notifications work????
thanks
Very frustrated with the new software upgrade, can't easily silence the phone, can't activate the control center - nothing happens after press and release the flat oval side button!!! Can't find where I can locate my phone which is seriously needed on a daily basis. This makes my apple watch useless. How can I get to the locate my phone without using the side button? it is not in settings...???
Why does Apple change a good thing!?!?! Sad to see how they do this. Sure miss the swiping up to find my iPhone from my watch. I also don’t know why you have to mess with things. I miss being able to flip my watch faces to coordinate with my mood or color of the day.
why is the icon gone from my Apple Watch to find my phone??? I want it back. The reason I bought the watch is because of the extra things the watch did and now you are taking them away??? Hopefully there is a way to get it back ???
This works and thank you for the warning about the feature to call emergency services. I liked the old swipe up method better, have a feeling this is yet another way I’ll end up calling EMS by accident because I don’t have the fine motor skills to vary my intensity of mechanical button pressing. Anyone know if there is an accessibility alternative to the new method?
