How do I access and find Control Center on my watch?
Momentarily press and release the flat oval side button

NOT the round, rotating Digital Crown!
But do you have to push the other button every time instead of swiping up.

Yes
Please send Apple feedback at
https://www.apple.com/feedback/watch
Please change it back to the original availability

Tap, instead of holding the button.

Is there anyway to uninstall the software update?
No.
You can tell Apple
If enough users send feedback, then it will eventually reach a decision maker.

How do I find my phone when I’ve misplaced it ? Ever since I did the update there is no longer any swipe up to hit find my phone
Did you read any of this thread? Especially the post immediately above yours that shows, with pictures, how to access the Control Center with the features that you're looking for?
This latest Watch update has eliminated a lot of features we have enjoyed and used. I have used the Find my Phone feature probably every single day … several times. The watch is on my wrist. My phone gets placed in various spots around the home and even outside. I need that feature in the watch. I will rarely if ever use the Find my Watch on the phone!
Why have you made the Watch less usable? Less convenient?
Yes… that works. Thank you!
However—to Apple techs: Just like with the switching of watch faces, you have now added an extra step to use a feature that only took one swipe previously.
This is not good.

Apple does not read here in this user-to-user forum for feedback or suggestions. You can, however, let them know your thoughts here:
How is one button press more steps than one swipe up?
I realize that.
However, I wonder if they don't occasionally peruse these discussions to see what is being stated, complained about, etc. If I worked in tech (again), I would be curious to know what my clients/customers were saying.
But anyway - yes, you are correct. This is NOT the place to convey requests or complaints or otherwise contact Apple Technical Support.

This forum, actually these forums as there are now a number of different versions in languages, is a never-stopping firehose of posts. Even with current AI technology, trying to parse it for feedback would be an enormous task. So, unless there is a specific problem that a group is looking into and they need examples, no, this is not where Apple comes to find out what their customers are saying.

Yeah... whatever.
The new "Finding my Phone" method is as simple as the old one, for me. I'm good with it. It's as quick as the swipe-up method.
I appreciate my fellow Apple Watch wearers, especially Bob Harris, who provide valuable--and concise--information that gets to the point, impersonally. Without his input, I would not have known about it, unless I took the time to wade through the "Get to Know" link and other Tips, which I suppose I should do--we should all do, but this time of year especially, I have neither the time nor the interest.
I'm done with this conversation and have unsubscribed.
Thank you, thank you thank you! I, like the rest of you hated this new upgrade. Thank you so much for showing us where to find it! This response is for the person who said to press the bar below the crown. Of course, after I signed in, I could not find that post again, but whoever you are, thank you so much!
it would be nice if Apple would make us aware of how to find that part of the app again. I use find my phone all the time.
It was really stupid that Apple hid such an nice feature that enables one to find their iphone with their iwatch. It can still be done, but it is cumbersome and works only part of the time. Simply push the recessed button on the side of the watch. It does not come up on first couple of trys, but if you keep trying and keep pushing the button, eventually you will see the familiar iphone button with the sound wave symbols on the side. Very poor move Apple.

Updates seem to happen much more frequently and a lot of changes occur.
Major updates in the watchOS happen once a year. I would suggest that next year, you wait to update and spend some time poking about the forums, seeing what people are saying before updating.
