Why on earth would I buy another equipment like this, if this could occur again and I would have to spend half the equipment value on replacing with another screen.

If so,

Apple simply said they don't cover the screen replacement if the equipment is out of warranty.

That is your answer.

You had the opportunity to buy cheap extended warranty just like all the rest of us had.
