Bluetooth issues on my iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.0.3

I am having issues with bluetooth dropping the connection in my car and air pods pro since I upgraded my phone to iphone 15 PM and IOS 17.0.3. Any help would be greatly appreciated. this is my main phone and I can't take the chance of having unstable IOS build on it. Any suggestions or better yet can apple just make something that works as it should for $1200 thanks!

1. Apple released the iOS 17.1.2 update, which fixed the Bluetooth issues on iPhone 15 Pro.
Update iPhone to new iOS 17.1.2
2. Unpair the iPhone from the car.
3. Remove the Bluetooth HandsFree link from your iPhone.
4. Reboot iPhone.
5. Now pair the iPhone in the car.

Have found that turning Bluetooth off for a minute and then back on again helps the sound return. Has been back for full day now.

iPhone15 OS 17.3.1. hapticks, phone ringer, YouTube all come back - am starting to suspect that it could be caused by updating the OS - but won't know for sure until 17.3.2 comes out and then hoping not to know as hoping by then Apple will have added a fix to it!

I am currently on 17.3.1. Since upgrading to iPhone 15 Pro. I have had an issue with Bluetooth connectivity everything from AirPods to vehicles. I have connected my AirPods Pro 1st gen, second gen, original AirPods, JBL and anchor Bluetooth speakers all with the same result. I tested and I was using AirPods Pro 2nd gen with my iPhone switched to my iPad Pro m1 same headphones and same audio app and the issues stop. This happens with all apps Apple Music Netflix pandora every app that has sounds basically. The issue is intermittent. But it’s like someone hit pause on the sound then it randomly from 5-15 seconds comes back and starts playing. Super annoyed with this

I could not connect to ‘multi-media’ in my auto until I went into the auto’s menu and made the car search for it and connect. Connects every time now. (Toyo Venza 2011). Everything else connects. I am beginning to wonder if it is some type of ‘security’ thing, either in the phone itself or the mfr of the car’s electronics? My 15 PM now works pretty flawoessly. My Airpods Pro, speakers, and hearing aids are all working.

My only solution with the bluetooth connection problem with my headphones is to shut off the bluetooth on the phone, turn it back on and then select my headphones and they reconnect. Yeah and I second your comment of working as it should and always has for $1,200.00! Sheesh! Really disappointed. I am wondering if I should get rid of the 15 Pro for a 14 Pro or is is IOS 17???

I was like the 10th person to comment on this thread. I bought my iPhone 15 Pro 1TB one week after it came out. I'm still on 17.0.3 because I don't dare to update.

I've been receiving updates on this thread for almost two months now. I called Apple again yesterday for the second time. They said it helps if we keep calling in so that the engineers can upvote this problem so they'll address it.

So my recommendation for everyone here is to call Apple at least once a month and ask the (senior) engineer to upvote this problem so it will get fixed.

Same issues here. Have contacted apple a few times and they are looking at it. Basically it seems like its related to when you are in an area with a lot of bluetooth beacons. My bluetooth becomes comepletely unavailable in the office or shopping centre. This also seems to largely impacting Australian users of iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. Have tried a restart, full reset, removal of all bluetooth devices. One remote diagnostic detected that the device had a hardware fault. They sent me to the Genius bar. The 'Genius' there ran another diagnostic and said the device is completely fine. I've got a few days left to try and get a refund at JBHIFI but this is 100% an apple issue and they should honestly do a product recall.

I called Apple Support and demanded to talk to someone who knows something about anything. I finally was connected to someone who stated that Apple is aware of the Bluetooth connectivity issue. Granted, they had no immediate solution but assured me that Apple is working on the problem and that a fix will be coming via an downloadable Apple iPhone update. Of course they were short of saying when we can expect to receive that fix.

So, at least they recognize that there is a problem and a fix is in the works.

Having the same issues on my 15 Pro on 17.1.2. Thought it was my beats fit pro's so I reset them, turned off the phone, removed the device from the device list and repaired. Still had the same issue. In the same location tried my wife's airpods with my phone and same issue. They randomly will cut out or have staticky performance. This just started 2-3 weeks ago. On the other hand I have zero issues in the car. Very odd.

Just noticed there is an update for 17.2 so running that update now to see if it addresses the issue. Did not see anything in the release notes saying that it is addressed but worth a shot. Can only get worse haha

Andy, My Audi is a 2011. Same issues but I also have other Bluetooth issues with some portable speakers and my AirPods Pro, so I do not think it's an Audi/VW/Porsche problem. As I have posted in here many times, I went to bother the Genius Bar and have called Apple 3 times since buying this piece of junk 15 MP at release. No issues found, they all say they never heard of the issue (BS) bla bla bla. One tier 2 support guy even lied to me and said as I was arguing with him on the phone as he telling me my phone is fine, he says that he just found a bulletin on this issue and it will be resolved in a future update. Satisfied I was good with that. This was 3 mass releases ago. I had to call Apple for my son's watch and the excessive battery drain the other day and the tier 2 woman I spoke with and told her my plight with the 15PM and how they said there was an acknowledged issue, she said sorry but that's not true and I said so the support guy that gave me this info just wanted me off the phone. She said I can't say that but no bulletin exists. She told me to just keep calling and complain and eventually they are going to have to acknowledge an issue. I can confirm I have the very latest software on my phone and it is not fixed. Back to your experience with new phones and clean installs, she had suggested that but you are not the first in this tread to have to go through the painful process and I refuse to do that. My initial swap from the 14PM to the 15 PM was a nightmare where information that is supposed to transfer did not and I pretty much had to start from scratch. And this isn't my first rodeo. I have upgraded many many iPhones since the first and have never experienced such issues. This is definitely a stain on Apple's reputation.

Ipods pro Same random cutting in and out with iPhone 14 Pro Max. (i don't use in the car though). Immediately began when i updated my 12 pro to 14 mid year. I had presumed my 1st Gen Airpods pro were just dying after 3 years. Bought the new Pro's. Still kept happening.

Tried all the work arounds. Exchanged the pods no difference. So 3 airpods and same issue.

2 trips to Apple and the guy said no issue with phone or pods hardware and that perhaps there is some kind of software corruption that occurred when i transferred my phone. It sounded like the solution! Reset phone and lost everything not in my icloud. Still not working properly. I have had it. Returning the airpods and i'll just use the old ones until something happens. It's absolutely ridiculous.
