Unable to auto switch airpods between two phones since the latest update
Since doing the latest apple update on two phones (14 pro and 12 pro), I can no longer auto switch my airpods between my two phones when receiving telephone calls.
The airpods now only seem to pair with one phone - I now have to disconnect from one and then connect to the other which is a pain as I use them at my desk for work. So by the time I've manually switched them over the caller has hung up.
Apple have said that it was a "glitch" originally and the airpods are now working as they should!
I've had them for 11 months and they worked as I wanted them to, I do an update and find that suddenly I can't!
The two phones have different Apple ID's (one is a work phone, an one is a personal phone), so their suggestion is buy a second pair of pods! Not sure how I'm expected to sit at my desk wearing two sets of pods, but there you go.
When my phone(s) ring I either have "Speaker" meaning I can select either iPhone or speaker, or "Audio" meaning I can select airports, speaker or iphone - both phones used to have both options. Well played Apple, well played.
Does anyone know of a way round this?
I'm assuming the option is gone forever :(
