Wifi not working after macOS Sonoma Update

My wifi does not work on my mac after updating to macOS sonoma. The connection is outstanding on my iPhone and iPad, and the link rate on my mac is +700mbps. However, the mac runs utterly slow. It will take 30 seconds to open a document on preview and the wifi tests on ookla won't even run.

You appear to have an App called Later. However, the version you are running includes unsigned files, which could be a security risk. NO serious developer continues to ship packages that remain unsigned.

Your drive speed has improved remarkably.

While there have been more reports of trouble with Wi-Fi with newer Apple-silicon Macs and Sonoma, there have been no pervasive unsolvable issues posted. There are many different reasons this newer Macs and newer version of Wi-Fi might be having trouble, but "the network stack is broken" is NOT one of them.

These Wifi Macs are communicating to many different brands of networking equipment using shared public radios frequencies to do so. They are very subject to the conditions in your "network neighborhood", including all the equipment sharing those radio frequencies.

50 percent packet loss is a serious problem, that bears investigating and fixing. Please start a new discussion so that your issues get the attention they deserve, and include the model-year of your Mac (which will specify what WiFi hardware is in use) and the Option-Wi-Fi snapshot that shows your operating parameters.

No, it is my personal computer. However, I did install a eduroam configuration profile for the Wifi in work. Can this be causing the issue with my wifi? The thing is that I installed the profile at the start of September, and had no issues. It is specifically after I updated to Sonoma on Sept 26th that I began having issues.

Will check the Later app for security risks.

The password required for Wi-Fi connection for the first time is distinct from the Admin password, your userid password, and your Apple-ID password.

It is the password for the encrypted link between your Router and any device that wants to connect with it using local encryption. The person who sets up the router creates that password. Other devices that already use the same Router have that password stored in their keychain.

yours is NOT the same issue. All others here can enter their WiFi password, but find their connection slower than expected. And at that, it is coming down to a handful of different issues.

To get the attention your unique issue deserves, Please start a NEW discussion with a Title that will attract the Readers whose help you want, and include your Mac Model-year and version of MacOS
