iPhone 15, iOS 17..No Face ID on menu

New iPhone 15 purchased today, software upgrade to iOS 17 done in the store before transferring data from old phone. Settings menu does not contain Face ID & Passcode. Can not set up Face ID

Check to see if you have restrictions turned on. To do that you'll tap Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Passcode. Is this turned on, and if so, is it set to Don't Allow? if so, you'll need to set it to Allow or turn off the restrictions for the Face ID options to appear in the settings. Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
