Do the iPad air5 and Apple Pencil 2 come without a plastic wrap around them?

I have recently purchased iPad Air 5 and Apple Pencil 2 from Amazon India. The boxes came without a plastic wrap surrounding them. I wasn't initially skeptical of this as I believed it to be step towards reducing plastic usage. The box of the iPad had white paper tabs at the bottom to be pulled to free the lid of the box so it can be lifted. The pencil had 1 tab as well as a plastic tab to pull the box out. The iPad seemed new but with a few specks of dust on it. Could products have been tampered. Is it normal for them to ship without a plastic wrap.

Apple has updated much of its product packaging to reduce plastic waste. Product outer boxes typically do no use plastic film - and are sealed with one or more tear-off tamper-evident seal.

Your description matches expectation for current product packaging.
