Unknown Camera Part - iPhone 13 Pro Max

I have an IPhone 13 Pro Max that’s about 2 years old and I’ve never experienced any issues until now. I tried to take a picture but my camera screen was black. I was later notified with “Important Camera Message”. It talked about how it was “Unable to determine if your iphone camera is a genuine Apple part.” I’ve never done anything to mess with my phone and this message was pretty much random. I haven’t really spilt anything on it so it can’t be a malfunction with liquids. I also reset my settings and now the camera works but doesn’t have the 0.5 camera setting and defaults to x2 zoom when opening the app. I also can’t seem to set up my Face ID but I’m not sure if this has to do with this issue.

Please help!

Has the phone been dropped accidentally?

You should visit an Authorized Apple Service Provider next to your place and let them diagnose the iPhone.

Use this link to find one:

Apple - Find Locations

Or contact the official Apple Support about that, they can diagnose your device online.

To rule out a software issue, set ti back to factory settings without using a backup afterwards. Set it up as a new device and test the camera after that.

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

In case the camera functions are back, restore from the latest backup.

Same phone and I am having the same exact issue. Also no spills, no drops, nothing. Totally random. Insurance claim won’t have a new phone here until Monday and new iPhones through my wireless provider are backordered- super bummed because I need my phone camera for a college reunion this weekend. I’ve completely factory reset my phone and it still is not working. Anyone have any ideas??
