Calling 911

How do I stop my phone from calling 911 when there’s no emergency? It called once saying that I had been in a crash which I wasn’t. My phone was sitting on a counter and then it called again when my phone phone was charging reporting in an emergency. This is frustrating for me and 911 staff.

If your iPhone Was laying still when this happened (not on you when you where sporting or sort)

you might want to force restart it to see if the issue persists

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the side button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.
