Problem attaching files after upgrading to Sonoma

Since upgrading my MacBook Air to Sonoma a few days ago, I encountered problems attaching a file from my desktop to an email. When I select a file, it jumps automatically to the next file. If I select the correct file, it will attach the file located after that file. Also the 'Choose' button is not reacting, it hangs. So, practically to get the correct file attached, I have to select the next file in the row, then press choose, then press cancel and then it attaches the correct file. Sounds like a glitch, hope Apple can solve this soonest.
