Brand New Macbook Air and getting Low Memory Message

I just purchased a brand new 2020 Macbook Air and am getting the following low on memory error.

If it's brand new it's been sitting on somebody's shelf for three years. And if the box was sealed, that means the battery was never charged. That means it completely exhausted itself about two years ago and when a battery does that it's often completely dead.


But you know what you bought and that's all that matters.

Being brand new and still under warranty, you can take it to Apple for free warranty adjustment. If all else fails, I suggest you do that.
