info about the new MacPro's memory

This is written in the apple.store page of the new MacPRO.

"For demanding workflows with large files, you can configure your MacBook Pro with up to 8TB to deliver even more performance."

What does it mean?

The Laptop has 1TB memory. How it can be configured to 8TB?

Can someone explain me what Apple means?

Thank you

Firstly, are you referring to the MacPro (desktop) or MacBook Pro (Notebook)?

Either way, it is not referring to memory, it is referring to Storage space.

When you place the order, you specify the storage capacity you wish. Capacities available will be 1TB, 2TB, 4TB or 8 TB. Neither storage capacity can be updated after purchase.
