iPhone 15 Pro Can’t Scan lottery tickets yet my iPhone 8 can

Ty! I received several Florida scratch off tickets this morning and. One of them would scan via the Florida Lottery app on my new iPhone 15 Pro. I changed the setting as you suggested and now it works perfect! Ty for saving Christmas! Haha

I came here looking for a fix and noticed someone saying something about a micro lens. I have no clue what that is but I held my phone about 6-8 inches from the ticket then tap the bar code on my screen and that seemed to work. Good luck

Completely agree with your assessment regarding iPhones. If I didn’t know so many people that insist on using FaceTime I’d only own an android. Apple’s insistence on locking everything down is just ridiculous.

I can get it to work, but it works very poorly. None of this is a problem on the android phone among many other things that the iPhone lacks. Not going to get into it but these phones are way overrated. I've given up on Apple. They don't listen to anything that I suggest the android blows away the iPhone I don't know what all the hype is in this country.

@ greeneyedcarol. I had the same problem with my iPhone 15 pro max , QR scan camera in the UK lottery app was just a bright screen, changed ProRAW to on and problem resolved immediately, Genius!! thank you :)

I tried it. IT scans intermittent and I have to Place the Scratcher bar code pointing towards the light in order for iPhone 15 promax to read the barcode. If you are scanning lots, (14) it takes a while to do it.

Our IPhone 11promax scans barcode 100% FASTER.

I don’t know about the CA lottery app, but I finally got my iPhone 15 Pro Max to work with the GA lottery app. When I opened the Scan Barcode, I used two fingers to zoom the lens, and moved the ticket slowly out to focus, and it scanned. Unfortunately the ticket was not a winner.🙁

Same problem. Tried my camera and it took a great picture of the code so it appears to be a lottery app problem with the Pro 15. I guess it somehow picks the wrong camera. Apple should let you select which camera you want to use. If you have three why not!

I have also struggled with iPhone 15 scanning Missouri lottery tickets, and it was even worse after one of the recent updates. I messed around with the camera settings randomly, and I can now scan after many months of frustration. Under settings- camera, I have all the buttons on except for the “use volume up for burst.” Under “preserve,” it takes you to a second page and I have everything on except action mode. Under photographic style I have it set to default 24mm -1x, and the buttons for 28mm and 35mm are on. I don’t know why it works now so I’m simply relaying all of the settings as of today when it started working after I changed settings.

Focus point is way off for lottery tickets in Texas. You have to hold the phone way off and hope. Using my husband's android to scan with NO problem!

Let the barcode focus from a distance then zoom in slowly with your fingers, that’s how I get mine to scan the tickets. I am using the iPhone 15 pro

The same with my iPhone 11. Can’t scan but my wife’s Pixel scans easily.
