The camera takes excellent photos but cannot scan lottery bar codes but at the same time & lighting, my iPhone 8 doesn’t have any issues scanning these
What could be the problem with my iPhone 15 pro?

I came here to find solution to the IPhone 15 pro not scanning in the California Lottery App. I was changing options in the camera settings. When I changed ProRAW & Resolution control to on, I could suddenly scan consistently and get results. I turned it off to confirm that this was the problem, but now it scans for me. If someone can try this and confirm I would appreciate it.
open LOTTO app, hold phone 8 or so inches (just enough to not get a blur) and then press and hold over the barcode of the scratcher/ticket and it’ll scan.

I had the same problem. in camera settings i turned everything on in preserve settings and tried it.. it worked when i had the phone about a foot away, i kept doing this and it worked everytime

It did not work for me (using MI Lottery mobile app). Think it might possibly be related to the inability to focus up close with the app (without using the app, the camera itself can do so fine).

I went to Settings>Camera, but I didn't see any setting like this. Is it somewhere else?
My i-phone 15 overexposes and is unable to read wa lottery ticket - basically a white-out. Found if one of top two lenses is covered a normal exposure and ability to read ticket is possible.
