iCloud email online is there but won't sync ANYTHING down to my MBP after logging in/out on both

I have a perfectly function MBP on Ventura, then upgraded to Sonoma last week and $%^ hit the fan:

  • iCloud email is still there online but won't sync down to my Mac Apple account EXCEPT I get New emails but all saved in subfolders are Empty and I can't get the Mac files to sync.
  • Photos, Contacts, etc are all on my online iCloud and MBP

Only Apple Mail has been affected. Short of Forwarding every mail back to my iCloud account what do you suggest?

Solved. Genius that I am I managed to create a second ALMOST identical Admin User account except it had no AppleID affiliated with it. So it was a self inflicted error. Like cloning an account, but not quite.

Live and learn. Deleted the dup account and all is well.
