scheduling issue

Using iPhone to schedule an early appointment, I was stymied by the calendar. It was impossinble to set up a mandatory early alarm at the necessary time because app demanded ~8 hrs. This was not the way we, as a couple, did things for family.

What happened to the system that disallowed a 0400 alarm when trying to get to sleep at ~2200?

Prior versions did not erase the needed times.

Hi tlfmd,

You can set a notification alert for Calendar events in the Calendar app: Create and edit events in Calendar on iPhone - Apple Support

This function is separate from setting an alarm on the iPhone, which uses the Clock app: How to set and change alarms on your iPhone - Apple Support

You can also set specific sleep schedules and alarms with the Sleep feature on your iPhone: Track your sleep on Apple Watch and use Sleep on iPhone - Apple Support

All three of the above are separate functionalities, and creating one should not affect the others. For example, if an alarm and Calendar event are both set for 4:00 AM, they will both alert you at 4:00 AM.

If you are having trouble managing alarms and notifications for these apps, please respond back with the following information so we may gather a better understanding:

  1. What iPhone are you using, and what iOS is currently installed it:
  2. What app, or apps, are you using?
  3. What exactly are you trying to do?
  4. What exactly happens when you do it?

Please provide your answers in as much exact detail as possible.

Best!
