How do I turn off display flipping through my photos?

The phone is flipping through my photos while on laying on its side instead of displaying the clock and outside temperature. I would like to turn this feature off.

Hi Unbound237,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like your current wallpaper may be Photo Shuffle. Right? You can disable that from Settings > Wallpaper. Check out Change the wallpaper on your iPhone - Apple Support for guidance.

It also sounds like you would like to use Standby Mode which can be enabled from Settings > StandBy. To see if that is what you're referring to and learn more about the feature, use Use StandBy to view information at a distance while iPhone is charging - Apple Support.

All the best.
