ios17 vpn issues and phone issues

Have iOS 17.1.1 loaded. I cannot browse with google chrome or safari unless I turn off the VPN. As soon as I disconnect vpn, browsing works again. Have upgraded to latest ExpressVPN, and nothing has changes despite rebooting the iPad several times. Running iPad Pro 4th generation. I have never had an issue running the vpn before.

Ditto, Google VPN on my phone has not been working properly since upgrading to iOS 17.1.1. Wi-Fi drops occasionally and I have to disable/reenable wifi to get it to work again. Zoom meetings get randomly dropped or audio breaks due to the same issue. I have been using Google VPN on previous versions of iOS for more than a year.

I am experiencing a similar issues and I have confirmed I am on the latest IOS 17.1.

My WIFI is dropping out occaisionally, but the real issue is VPN has stopped working. I haven't updated my MacBook to Sonoma, because I hear the same issue is happening there.

1. VPN works on my older iphone, just not the ipad with ios17.1
2. my work VPN is not connecting, or it is connecting then disconnecting straight away.
3. IOS17.1

1. You mentioned that your VPN keeps turning off/on throughout the day, but have you contacted your VPN provider to rule out anything on their end?
2. Which app is crashing/becoming unresponsive?
3. We understand you have iOS 17 installed, but the latest version is iOS 17.0.3. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. We have the same issue.

After troubleshooting, it appears that when going in Safari and browsing to "basejumper.apple.com" triggers the On Demand VPN connection.

Although basejumper.apple.com is not in the "safari domains" section of the management profile / vpn profile which may trigger it.

Perhaps this is the case for others as well?

Solution not yet known. Feedback is welcome!

Looks like Apple are removing support for certain VPN Algorithms according to this link.

How they can d this without warning is really poor form. Businesses who depend on these for the staff to access VPN are really let down by Apple.

My Iphone is Iphone 14 pro

Ios 17.2.1

Freedome VPN on the latest update

My VPN shut down many times a day and I have to reconnect it to use Whatsapp and other apps.

I uninstalled the Freedome app, I also restarted the phone many times and nothing is changing.

Can you please inform?
