I cant log in to my Acorn account which I pay for through Apple TV and they are informing me I have to get this fixed by Apple - not Acorn. It is not recognizing my email address as legitimate for logging in and I am trying to add Acorn to my ip

Tried downloading the Acorn app from my ipad

entered email and password

Acorn says it does not have an account with my email address

Acorn support says because I pay for it through Apple, Apple has to troubleshoot

There's not enough information in your post to explain the problem you're having.


If you have an account in an app, only the company that manages the app can help with an account that was created using their system.


You mentioned that you attempted to sign in with your email and password, but was met with an error stating you do not have an account with that email address. Just to confirm, did you possibly use the option to sign in with Apple? You can read more about that at: About Sign in with Apple - Apple Support


The best course of action if you have an account issue with your Apple ID, is to contact Apple Support directly: Get Support

I downloaded the Acorn app to my iPad (it is already downloaded to my Apple TV. I then tried to log on to my Acorn app on my iPad using my email address as the user name. Acorn responded that they don’t have an account with that email. That if I pay for Acorn through Apple, then they can’t help me because Apple is reselling the service through their own system and that Apple has to tell me how I can log in to my Acorn account which I just paid $80 to renew for the year a couple of days ago.


I understand that Apple doesn’t want to pay people to actually support their product by speaking in the phone but I have no access to a product I paid Apple for and waiting for assistance through this method is BS
