Carplay not working on Hyundai Creta SX 2020

So I am using a Amazon Basic USB A to lighting cable to connect to my car Creta SX 2020. This car model only supports wired Carplay. Therefore whenever I connect a cable it shows that a USB device has been detected on the car display and starts charging the iphone however it doesn't enable the use of Carplay.

iPhone 14, iOS 17

I tried every step that you have mentioned above. I am facing the same issue with Apple car play in my Vehicle (creta 2020 sx). I am using iphone 14pro max and my brother is using iphone13, there is no issue with his phone. I thought maybe I have issues with my phone but I tried with iphone13pro max, still the problem persists.

Hi TkpBihar,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you're attempting to connect your iPhone to your car via CarPlay but CarPlay doesn't see that your iPhone is connected.

Do you have access to an Apple Lightning to USB cable to connect your iPhone to CarPlay? If so, you may consider using the Apple Lightning to USB cable with your iPhone instead. This resource will show you how to connect your iPhone to your car via CarPlay: Use CarPlay with your iPhone - Apple Support

"Set up CarPlay

  1. Start your car, then make sure that Siri is on.
  2. Connect your iPhone to your car:
    • If your car supports CarPlay with a USB cable, plug your iPhone into the USB port in your car. The USB port might be labeled with a CarPlay icon or a smartphone icon. Be sure to use an Apple Lightning to USB cable.
    • If your car supports CarPlay both wirelessly and with a USB cable, plug your iPhone into the USB port in your car. An alert on your iPhone will offer to connect you wirelessly on your next drives.
    • If your car supports only wireless CarPlay, press and hold the voice command button on your steering wheel. Make sure that your stereo is in wireless or Bluetooth mode. Then on your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and make sure that Wi-Fi is also turned on. Tap the CarPlay network, and check that Auto-Join is turned on. Then, go to Settings > General > CarPlay, and select your car. Check your car manual for more information.

Learn more about CarPlay and how to change the map view in CarPlay.

Learn more about the USB-C to Lightning Adapter and how to connect your iPhone with a USB-C connector to CarPlay."

We hope this helps you.

Cheers!
