My 2023 Santa Fe has wired CarPlay with USB port. No problem previously connecting with USB-Lightening on old iPhone; but new iPhone 17ProMax won't connect to CarPlay with USB-C cable. Hyundai doesn't know why...Anybody know?

Not all USB cables are created equal.
Many are charge only cables and do not carry data.
Make sure you have a cable or adapter that actually carries data as well as power.
