oticon hearing aids

I have a 1st gen Macbook Pro 16” M1. I wear Oticon OPN S hearing aids. The MB OS is up to date. My HA’s pair fine with my iPhone and iPad. Not so with the MB. These are MFI aids. In fact, if I turn onn BT on the phone it says they are paired with the MB. However…no can do. HELP!

For years Oticon has offered a device called a ConnectClip that would pair the HA’s to Pc/MAC’s. When the M series macs arrived they theoretically did not require the CC since the M series would use the same protocol as the Iphone/Ipad, which are both direct connect. Does not appear to be so. So, I either drop a couple hundred bucks, or pop on some $20 headphones over the HA’s.

Hi, bobc9972, here’s the support page for connecting those hearing aids (Oticon OPN S) to various devices; TV set : https://www.oticon.com/support/how-to/connect-to-wireless-accessories… i believe, seeing as how they are Bluetooth? That they are pairable with one other device at a time.. what you’d have to do is “unpair” them from your iPhone first… e.g, “forget “ them /remove them your iPhone, remove them from the list of Bluetooth devices then “pair” them , add them to your 1st gen MacBook Pro M1… you also have to start out on your M1 by going to System Preferences >>Bluetooth and make your Mac discoverable via Bluetooth, it’s not turned out automatically/by default… and there’s a companion app : https://www.oticon.com/support/wireless-listening/oticon-companion-app… this mentions a ConnectClip : https://www.oticon.ca/hearing-aid-users/support/accessories/computer… maybe give that a look-see…

Hi!

Here to help.

MFI = Made for iPhone. Of course, the Mac is part of the same ECO-system.

A quick search at oticon.com/support/compatibility gives me the results of pairing with iPhone / tablet.

In the search box / matrix on their website, there is no option "PC/ Mac".

I this case, I would like to kindly refer you to:

Hopefully they can be of assistance.

Kind regards,

RRD
