My iPhone 15 Pro Max intermittently disconnects from 5G Ghz Wifi

I’m actually really tired of writing community notes about my issues but here once again I have a problem with the WiFi connection it keeps on disconnecting, it’s the 5G GHz band of WiFi that keeps on disconnecting and not wanting to connect sometimes and even not showing up on the WiFi settings, the 2.4 GHz is working normally tho but not the 5 GHz band. I know it might look like it’s my router issue but this happens in other routers too, but sometimes it works normally again and other times it doesn’t even wanna show up in the settings. One thing to add, to fix this issue I have to reset my network settings in the settings app

I have this problem too. It only started after the last update to 17.4.1 - has never been an issue before and I've had my phone probably 2-3 years at least. It is a iphone 12 pro max. It disconnects from wifi, goes back to 5G (where I have terrible service in the house), then randomly will connect to wifi again but not long enough for me to use it effectively. Definitely a problem with the phone itself.

Same exact problem.....and only my iPhone. I don't have cell service on this phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max with OS version 17.4.1) so there is no SIM card in it so it's not an issue with switching between cell and wifi service. I can go a few days without it, but then bam it comes back with a vengeance. I noticed this morning, it was dropping wifi every time I locked the phone. I have access to several wifi networks and it does it on each of them, so it is NOT the wifi router. It is definitely the phone that has the problem, but resetting network settings, rebooting the phone, forgetting and then adding wifi connections does NOT work. There is something within the OS that is doing it. I thought I had heard that the problem was gonna be fixed with an iOS update last year, but here we are still experiencing the same problem. I've dealt with it the past few years and quite honestly getting tired of not having wifi when I need it. I depend upon wifi as I mentioned I don't have cell service anymore....if I can't get to my Google Voice, then it's an issue which I don't want to have to depend upon my iPad or MacBook for. I kept the phone so I could utilize it for Google Voice, but Apple you're killing it. Come on now, fix it. Obviously this post (and probably others) prove it is a HUGE issue. We don't want some new feature in the OS.....we want fixes for the problems we are experiencing

Close All of your Apps:

Depending on your iPhone model, you can close all of your apps in a particular manor. Is there a touchpad on the bottom-middle of iPhone? If so: Tap on it, and swipe up for each app that shows. If no touchpad: Swipe up quickly from the bottom-left corner to the top-right cornet of the phone's screen, and then swipe up for each open app.

"Telling us to restart the phone, or anything like that, is not solving anything,: We all know how to get back on wifi, ...why does it continue to drop off of wifi?"

Three things to try...

Force Restart, Restart the Modem and Router for 30 Seconds, and Log in to your Modem:

Forget the "normal" restart --Force Restart it. All open items will close, and you'll be up to go from there. It may just not be responding. But know that just because you lose connection to the Internet does not mean that you have lost the connection --you may be seen on the internal LAN. So, log into your router using the Default Gateway, and see if it is seen. If so, then you have the connection to the WiFi, but just don't have an IP address. Power off your modem and router for 30 seconds, and then proceed from there. See if you get a new IP address. DHCP is the protocol for home use IMO.
