Reset network services , fixed my issue

i Fixed it twice with two different devices and this is what worked for me. With the first one I just updated the software and the second time I reset the network settings and it worked.

Make sure you update your phone to the latest version. I did everything trying to fix mine but didn’t even think to check if there was an update. Once the update was over it was completely fixed.

I’m having this same **** happen the iOS 17 update is TRASH im so ready to go buy a Samsung and never touch an apple product again. I did everything I I could to share my location but it keeps saying no active device when on settings it says share my location: this device bruh apple fix your **** and stop being money hungry

Maybe be simple and they have odd ways to block us unexpectedly. I just want know how it happens. I live in a technology world, did not realize that it gets advanced, and I'm having a hard time keeping up.

I am getting the same issue. I have tried to sign out and power off with no luck. When I power back on and don’t connect to my apple id i can send my location. Once I log in is when it fails. This is very frustrating.

iPhone 12- with latest update- when I try to send my location in iMessage it says “no active device”. When my friend looks on their find friends app it’s says for my device “no location found”. I’ve checked the network settings and did a reset. I’ve turned the phone on airplane mode for 60 seconds then back on. I’ve tried turning off iMessage and find me apps- then turn back on. I’ve toggeled every button you can imagine to ensure all locations are turned on in the all the settings (iCloud, privacy, etc). Something continues to block it.. I know it’s not phone service because the phone is right next to mine and (same service)- plus attached to Wi-Fi. Also, I can see other people’s locations and Vice versa. What is the fix for this, please.

This was awesome! Your sulotiom worked for me so anyone looking try this method. When you turn ur phone off for 10 seconds actually shut it down and count to 10. But this WORKED! And I am very happy thank you user GU_AZ.

Had the problem start last Friday (10th May) on my husband’s phone. Was hoping the update to IOS 17.5 would fix it but it didn’t. Tried your fix, but unfortunately it didn’t work. I can see his iPhone under devices but he can;T be found under people. Anyone else tried something that has worked?

Well overnight this has fixed itself. I played about with removing and re-adding my husband's location yesterday evening, and switching devices off and on again, but it didn't work.

This may not be linked but when trying to do an email yesterday evening, mail was saying my email address was in my blocked senders list, which was very weird. Looking at the list of blocked senders all our Apple email addresses were in that list so obviously I deleted them.

This may be a coincidence that now Find My is working correctly, but I thought I'd posy incase it helps someone.
