Now Game Radio function on MLB AppleTV app.

I just got an new (refurbished) AppleTV 2nd generation. I have a MLB subscription and able to login on my Iphone and computer. But when I downloaded the MLB up on the AppleTV, while I can sign in all I am able to go game wise is watch a game. Since MLB blacks out the NLCS games except on TBS, I would listen via the game radio feature. But it isn't there. It is there on the MLB on my iPhone, browser, and Roku version. But not on the AppleTV one. Has anyone else run into this issue? Is this an oversight or is there something else I need to do?

Hi mandorla,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! We would recommend the steps from the guide below that can help:

Sports in the Apple TV app

1. During playback, show playback controls.
2. Select the Audio Options button , then choose an audio track option from the pop-up menu:
•TV: Play the audio commentary from the TV broadcast.
•Away Team’s Local Radio: Listen to the away team’s local radio broadcast while watching the game (this option is only available for Friday Night Baseball games).
•Home Team’s Local Radio: Listen to the home team’s radio broadcast while watching the match or game.
3. To close the pop-up menu, press the Back button (Siri Remote 2nd generation or later) or Menu button button (Siri Remote 1st generation).

Hope this helps!

Have a great day.
