Basically, I want “approved” contacts to see/know I have focus/do not disturb on. I have contacts that I’ve allowed to text me during focus time just to deter unnecessary texts. I want to be able to be reached if it’s important but make them think twice if they see my focus status.

I guess that would depend on how you define “important”?
No. This is not an option.
So, Recommend this to Apple:
Do your Part: Being of no option, let apple know what feature(s) you want to see added. Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more they hear of this, the more they will know what their customers prefer and what features need to be added.
Can I Share Focus status when do not disturb is on to everyone, INCLUDING “approved” contacts?
