My wife lost her iPhone. When trying to set up the replacement phone from iCloud backup, a verification code is sent to—you guessed it—her phone number, which of course she has no access to since she doesn’t have her old phone. There is no option to send it to her email or some other phone number (like mine).
How can she get past that verification without her old phone?
What happened to her phone number? Getting a new phone does not usually mean getting a new phone number…
She will need access to a trusted device or a trusted phone number.
