Apple Music on Sonoma (14 + 14.1) bug?

When clicking All Playlists, there is no way to open folders. Double-click won't open them.

It was the situation on macOS 14 and I waited for 14.1 and it is the same. Thanks

Hi OriGerson,

Are you able to open the folder from the sidebar and open playlists from inside the folder? We're asking because there are some limitations for what you can add to a folder in Music, and we're curious to know if you're able to access the content in the folders by other methods.

Organize playlists in folders in Music on Mac - Apple Support

If you're not able to access your content at all, we encourage you to find ways to connect with Apple Support from the Get Support portal. They will be better equipped to assist with a new issue in macOS Sonoma.

Regards.

Hi OriGerson,

From what you described in your original post, it would be a good idea to check to see if the issue persists in safe mode.

Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

Determine whether you're using a Mac with Apple silicon, then follow the appropriate steps:

Start up your Mac with Apple silicon in safe mode
1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Shut Down.
2. Wait for your Mac to shut down completely. A Mac is completely shut down when the screen is black and any lights (including in the Touch Bar) are off.
3. Press and hold the power button on your Mac until “Loading startup options” appears.
4. Select a volume.
5. Press and hold the Shift key, then click Continue in Safe Mode.
6. The computer restarts automatically. When the login window appears, you should see “Safe Boot” in the menu bar.

Start up your Intel-based Mac in safe mode
1. Turn on or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key until you see the login window.
2. Log in to your Mac.
3. You might be asked to log in again.
4. On either the first or second login window, you should see “Safe Boot” in the menu bar.

Performing this step above may help resolve the issue or allow us to isolate the problem further.

If you're still experiencing the same issue, then try testing in a new user to see if you're still noticing the same problem there: Change Users & Groups settings on Mac
