Epson WF-3540 not Printing from Mac

Trying to update the printer driver for an Epson WF-3540 printer for my macOS Monterey 12.6.9. But on trying to install the printer I get an error message "An error occurred while trying to add the selected device. successful-ok-ignored-or-substituted-attributes" then abandons the installation. This has been happening ever since I added a new iPad Pro to our office using the same printer. Anybody any idea how to get around this please?

iMac, OS X 10.11

Please never ever use the Epson (OR HP, Canon, etc.... driver). Please uninstall the Epson software and then please use the native support Apple provides in Mac OS. To learn how simply click Adding a printer
