My iPhone completed the iOS 17 update and now my iMessage won’t work.

My phone is fixed! I went to the Genius Bar a few days ago and they were stumped and couldn’t help me. I scheduled a call with Apple support and as part of their normal troubleshooting they reset my connection to the iMessage server on their side and had me restart my phone. It instantly started working. If you’re having problems, I suggest you schedule a phone call with Apple support. They have more robust troubleshooting systems an additional access than the in-store folks do.
After ios 17.1 installed, can Receive Text on Watch, but can’t Reply. In fact, can’t send Text at all from Watch. iPhone 13 says unsuccessful activation of iMessage after many many attempts. So, once a Text comes up on Watch, I must go to iPhone to reply.

Hi again, So we went to the Apple Store for help on our iMessages problem. “Can’t Send Created Replies or any Send from Watch. But, can Receive incoming iMessages.”
A Very dedicated Apple Rep. worked on our issue for over one hour. He was unsuccessful, as I had been also.
I really appreciate his effort.
it’s strange that I did not have this issue until I installed the iOS 17.1 Update.
Apple should address this issue with a future update of iOS 17.1.1, which did not.
Changed a couple settings, & a leftover from my first Carrier.
It’s been working just fine. I got there explained my issues, appointment was set, tech arrived earlier than time was set, & in about 5-10 minutes = Wallah‼️problem's solved❗️
If you don’t realize this is purposeful. I don’t know how to help you. It is very much a scam run to encourage android user to switches over. What we tolerate as a consumer is what they will continue to get away with.

I’ve turned off iMessages and restarted my device 3 times but not activated yet!

I’ve done both a hard reset and reset the network settings and it hasn’t helped. Looks like it’s a waiting game at this point.
