How to delete, remove, or disable the app store from child's phone?

If an app has been given permission to download, then you decide to delete it after the child had used it, the child can go back to the app store and download it with out permission because it is being now downloaded from icloud.

It's not possible.

Don't believe the "Solved" threads in the forum that instruct users to go to the "Content and Privacy Restrictions" section. That section does not allow you to block apps that you previously allowed your child to install or are allowed through the family sharing. You also cannot restrict the "1 more minute" feature if you restrict use via downtime.

It's hard to believe that there's no way to "take back" app approval and prevent my kids from apps that have become harmful. Snapchat can be used by kids to send funny clips to each other. It can also be used to facilitate drug deals. There is a serious need here and Apple should respond to the parents who have submitted Product Feedback by implementing better controls for parents.

Hey there dfallr,

We'd like to help! The first thing to clear up would be that no app downloads from 'iCloud'. All apps download from the App Store. With that said, any apps you've download in the past can be redownloaded again from the App Store.

Regarding your question about blocking your child from downloading a previously downloaded app, there's not an option available to prevent them from downloading a previously downloaded app on their iPhone. With that said, you can enable Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. Then, you can select which apps are allowed under 'Allowed Apps' in the 'Content & Privacy Restrictions' screen.

Any product feedback you'd like to submit to Apple for consideration can be submitted here: Product Feedback

Cheers!

Your instructions to use the Content & Privacy Restrictions cannot solve the user's problem. The "Allowed Apps" section only includes the default apps installed on the device by Apple. The user specified that the app in question was downloaded and installed. I've read dozens of threads where users have asked this same question, and it's very troubling to see so many Community Specialists such as yourself giving the same incorrect answer to every one of them.
