Can't share to Instagram from Photos. iOS 17.1

Same here only when sharing to instagram. Freezes up hard reset deleted instagram twice ??? Need answered

I uninstalled and installed both facebook and instagram and everything worked as normal

Basically, hard reset your device.

Ways to do it:

1. If you have a iPad with a volume buttons and not a Home button do this below. Also, hold these buttons.
2. If you have an iPad with a Home button do this below. Also, hold the buttons.
3. If it doesn’t work, reset your device.

I am facing similar experience, I have opened several apps (Instagram, X, LINE, WhatsApp, etc). Whenever I want to share some attachments (especially photos), turns out my screen got freezed and I can’t touch anything. This is happened on my iPhone 11 with iOS 17.1 on it and I already reinstalled Instagram apps but it doesn’t change anything. Does anyone might find solution for this case?

I am having the same issue on iPhone 15 Pro Max. Sharing any photos to Instagram since the update to 17.1. As soon as I hit the Instagram link the app dims and freezes. Have to quit the app and reopen to use it again.

I have the same problem since 4 days. When trying to upload to IG icon freezes, need to restart iPhone. I must have spent 5 hours on this problem and have exhausted all options. its only with IG. Please help

I have iPhone 14 Pro. I can confirm this bug.

I go to photos, select the photo I wanna share, select instagram then it dims and freezes.

It makes absolutely no sense. Is this an instagram bug or an apple bug? Seems like instagram related? ... Amateurs.

Hard reset my device because of this? Lmao.

This answer is like when you call your ISP and they say: "have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?"

Is this some kind of bot reply or.... ?

Don't act like we're 5yo. It's obvious this a global bug.

Ever since downloading the iOS 17.1.1 update I am not able to add a photo into a standard iMessage

It used to be as simple as hitting the + which opened the sub menu showing photos to choose from.

That functionality no longer works.

For me to send a photo I have to go TO the photo and address it from there.

btw there are no storage issues

I haven’t been able to share photos or stories in Instagram for about 3 weeks. Whenever I try, Instagram exits completely. I have reported this to IG. I have checked settings, deleted and reinstalled IG, check daily for updates (sometimes several times a day), but nothing has fixed the problem. I have an Android phone, and IG works fine on that, but I prefer my IPad for certain apps, including IG. For some reason, my phone saves a copy of each photo I share. I really hope this is fixed soon, cause 3 weeks is a long time.

I got the iPhone 15 a month ago - and I am unable to directly share photos to Instagram from my iPhone gallery. It's very annoying because the option shows up, but when you select story/post/dm - a very minimal page appears - and on clicking share, it doesn't share.

But if I try and upload a story from the Instagram app, it happens.

I have turned on permissions etc in 'settings' but even now, the issue persists. This was super seamless in my Android phone. Please can someone help?

I have the latest iPhone and Mac laptop and find that many things no longer work. IG photo upload is but one.

apple really needs to employ Non-Apple people to help them find and fix these things.

I get no answers from apple, ever, not on my Mac and not on these forums.

I go to other forums like Reddit and Quora and even there, folks have no answers.

I often have to find my own solutions. For this one, I can take a screen shot of an article,

and rename it and reformat it. I can only find other photos from on line about the article

and then download and re-upload those. I share survival news stories.

Have done so for years. Now, I have to fight my own tools, to continue my work.

I'm ready to try Android and other tools now. Too long has Apple been more pain than joy.
