iPhone goes into auto-lock mode, shuts off when connected to charger

Alright guys, I found the solution and really it is work on my iPhone xs ios 17.6.1. You guys need to replace the data cable or either charging boot and check the problem it will be fixed. I’m facing this problem with fast charger and type C to Lightning cable but when I charged the iPhone with power bank and using USB to Lightning cable it’s fixed my problem. Therefore, problem is with cable or charging boot. You guys please check and share your feedback. Thanks

Charging issue is resolved by turning off STANDBY. Thanks a lot!

You may try some of these steps, please check after each step...

Yeah! My XS max got fixed, after reset all settings. Now my phone is charging without unlike shutting down.

facing the same issue.

My xs max is using 16.7.2, battery health is 80%.

Tried to force restart, erase setting but no luck.

Temporay solution: change Auto-Lock to "never" then it's able to charge the phone (without shutdown).

Well I think I found the solution for that you just have to turn off the new so called feature apple has added called “Standby” and every thing will start working normal, well in my case that what happen I turned it off now my Device is charging normally

Problem still persists in latest ios update for Xs..

What i do is play something continuously in VLC at lowest volume setting.. In that way iphone doesn't go to deep sleep mode and charges well..

Ok, I tried to set the require passcode to immediately instead of 15mins, turned off standby mode, my auto lock is set to 30s instead of never coz it drains my battery and now my issue is resolved.

Just turn off new feature “standby” and you are good to go

Change Auto-lock to never is exactly what I’m doing now every time charge the phone. Sigh

What i do is. My phone sleep set to screen never off. And charge without tuurning sceen off

I can help you. Last time i also experienced same like your situation. What i do is i use wireless charger first to change analytics date in my iphone. After that you can use normal charger as usual. The iphone will charge like normal without shutting down. Hope it will help solve your problem.
