iPhone 15 Pro Max not charging

I did a simple restart and as of now, it's working like a charm. Definitely software-based. Based af.

I got a the 15 Plus and got the same issue. Somehow it's fixed by charging it with a Powerbank first, then charge it normally. Works all the time. Still annoying tbh

Same issue with iphone 15 pro max, on 20th May, iphone is not getting charged. Tried with multiple chargers. After multiple attempts tried to restart and now its picking up the charge.

Not sure if its going to continue this way

HELP. I got my phone, an iPhone 15 Pro, in March. I took care of it like my own child. I charged my phone yesterday evening and left my house after being charged in it's optimization, which is 80%. After I got home around 8 p.m., I didn't bother to charge it since I'm already sleepy and I don't want to overcharge it. I thought it'd be better to charge in the morning. And after I woke up this morning, I tried to charge it, of course, with the Apple charger, but it didn't work. At first, it said it was charging, but then it stopped. I tried to reinsert the charger, but it doesn't work anymore. I tried the soft reset, but it didn't work. I tried using another cable, and it worked. My charger was completely working when I left the house. Do I need to buy a new cable or connector? Or is there any other option?

PS: I am the only one using it since I'm alone.

Had my IP15 returned, got a brand new one, (almost) no problems anymore..

i I believe I got my phone right after it was released. Haven’t had any issues with it till two weeks ago could only get it to charge off wireless platform.

found this thread and decided to also reset my phone… just plugged it in and it works.

this is so insane I’m not sure why that’s even a thing but so glad I found this thread.

I actually wonder if my issue occurred when the new update came out, I also feel like it may have been released right around the time my phone stopped charging.

As an IT support professional, I would often direct my callers to shut down, then power up their computers. Why did I not try this first on my iPhone?!?!

max last month, already had the issue multiple times. Though resetting the phone would fix it, still very annoying. Bought a new Mac book pro lately, had issues too. Very disappointed at the quality of Apple’s recent products.

brand New Iphone 15 plus. charger stopped working out the blue not even a month old. I did the soft reset and it started charging again.

Soft resets fix all sorts of software problems. Since my original post I have not had the issue recur so I’m satisfied it’s not a hardware problem. I would think as long as it is not recurring frequently you probably don’t need to take it to the Apple Store.

I purchased my new iPhone 15 Pro last week and have already started having issues over the past few days with it not charging fully or charging extremely slowly and then turning off unexpectedly, even with 12% battery remaining. Nothing seems to correct the issue, including the soft reset and a variety of charging attempts starting with the USB-c cord that came with it. Since I purchased it through Best Buy, I contacted them today and they recommended just trading it in for a new one. Hoping to have better luck this next time!

Yes you should take it in. I was not able to charge mine. It said liquid detected in the connector even though it never got wet they could not fix it so they sent me a new one and now the replacement phone is having the exact same issue almost right away it has to be a defective design.

Same issue as both of you. Powering it off and on seemed to work. Although if that didn’t fix it, I would have tried the reset like Ketofol did.

Im having the same issue, reset it, and its charging but now I don't trust this phone to charge every time, and I don't appreciate the time AWAY FROM WORK to look up how to fix this on a work day

Same thing happened here , But i reset my phone and it worked just fine after that … Cmon apple 🤦‍♂️. Had me worrying crazy
