Group Messaging toggle is missing in IOS 17

It is RIDICULOUS! Why in the world would Apple remove this simple feature? People don't care to have their personal information shared AND no one likes a "reply all" to anything. GET IT TOGETHER APPLE!!

Lots of people. It has different features than SMS/iMessages that make it far superior in many cases. It's a question of using the best tool for the job. A hand axe is fine if you're just chopping a little wood for the fireplace. But, while you could use it to chop down a tree, a chain saw is a whole lot easier and more effective.

The person to whom sberman was responding was asking about a business use. Email is definitely more professional.

The option has completely disappeared. I’m also having issues with having to input my mail password every time I open it. The setting does not hold.

That's not a solution to the problem. I need to text a group of people individually. I don't have access to everyone's email.

I’m having the same issue, I have sent to 4 groups of 25 people every morning for years and now the group toggle is gone. I did try the above solution and it worked the first day but won’t work now.

I agree! This is so upsetting. I just texted my usual group and everyone is seeing everyone's numbers and responses. Apple, PLEASE bring back the toggle button!!

This is not a carrier issue. This is an iOS 17 issue.

not ideal bc you have to reconfigure settings. But it worked.

Turning off SMS and leaving MMS on does not fix the issue.

Apple needs to add this toggle back asap

No that doesn’t work. That used to work, but it doesn’t work anymore. Messages fail to send when sending a message to more than one person.

I used it today to send 15 people a text and it worked well. I also tested it with a thread of three people before I sent to the 15 and it worked fine. My text was 10 lines long.
