Mac Mini 2018 (Intel i7) BLUETOOTH Issues

I've been experiencing issues with the Bluetooth signal on my Mac Mini. From what I've read online, this is a fairly ubiquitous problem for Mac Mini users.

Two of the more common solutions I've seen suggested:

1) Get a USB C hub (not USB A) because for some reason the USB A hubs tend to generate interference with the Bluetooth signal.

2) Turn the Mac Mini on its side (with a vertical holder).

Before I spend money on any solution, has anyone had success with a particular method?

Thanks

Mac mini, macOS 14.1

Troubleshooting M1 Mac Bluetooth:

About "Reset the Bluetooth Module":

See my User Tip: Use "Reset the Bluetooth module" to Fix Constant Bluetooth Disconnections - User Tip.

What else to do:

Try the following, in the order provided...

A. Boot in Safe Mode:

[Hold Down: shift key, upon boot], In Safe ModeLogin Items do not run at login, certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files are then reset. So, once booted in to Safe Mode, wait for 30 seconds, and then boot up normally, attempting another sync.

B. Try a New Admin User:

What happens when you create a new administrator user, and log int it? Do you still get this error? If not, then it is likely an error with the current user. If so, then it is likely an error with your macOS.

as a last resort...

C. Verify the Connection:

See if the speaker is even seen:

  1. Hold Down: the Option key
  2. Click: the Apple menu
  3. Select:: About this Mac...
  4. Click: System Report... button
  5. Select: Bluetooth (on the left of screen)
  6. Look For: this Speaker

D. Perform a SMC and NVRAM Reset:

Sometimes changes are made to the system(i.e. updates) and then settings (i.e. for Power) become manipulated, technically.  So, reset both the SMC and NVRAM on your Mac.

E. Reinstall the macOS:

Go Here: How to Reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support

Important: First, Back Up your Mac:

Create a Time Machine backup of your Mac, so that you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with the reinstall. Take this as a learning experience, knowing to always create a backup of your Mac, prior to making any major changes to it (i.e. update installation)
